Why Štúrovo?
Just in the Danube region, you will discover the unique Burda mini-mountains, which can boast of the five "best" from all over Slovakia - it is the smallest, lowest, warmest, driest and southernmost. The European river Danube leaves Slovakia here and the bridge over it connects Štúrovo with the Hungarian coronation town Ostrihom/Esztergom. It leads directly to the world-famous basilica, which is the largest Christian cathedral in the country. The journey to the frequently visited Budapest takes less than an hour. The Vadas thermal resort covers about 35 hectares. There is a large number of other well-known thermal baths in the vicinity of Štúrovo.
